Hidden Pines Christmas Tree Farm
"Hard to Find, but Worth the Trip!"

Welcome to www.BingerTrees.com, the home of Hidden Pines Christmas Tree Farm in Clyde, Ohio.  Established in 1999 with the first plantings of Pine, Fir and Spruce trees, we officially began harvesting "cut-your-own" trees in 2006.  We have several acres of planted trees with much room for expansion.

Our 2010 harvest will be smallish with about 50-75 trees ready to cut.  We are still a couple years away from having a large selection of trees. We have a handful of Blue Spruces along with some Canaan Firs, Douglas Firs and large Scotch Pines.

Tagging begins Labor Day weekend.  You may pick up a tag from the envelope on the barn porch.  Write your name and phone number on the tag and place it on the tree you choose as close to the top of the tree as you can reach.  You may tag the trees 7 days/week during daylight hours.  Hours for tree cutting will be Saturdays and Sundays from November 26 through December 19.  Hours are from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5:00 on Sundays.  Other hours by appointment.  We will have three levels of pricing for 2010.  Our A grade trees will be $32.71 ($35 with tax), B grade will be $28.04 ($30 with tax) and new this year we will have bargain priced trees for just $18.69 ($20 with tax).  Grading is based on size, shape and variety of trees.

Last year we started offering shaking and netting of our trees which was very popular.  We also offered door swags made fresh from our evergreen cuttings and decorated on site.

New in 2010 will be fresh made evergreen wreaths, grave blankets and mailbox swags.  We will have a nice selection of decorated items on display and can also make undecorated wreaths for the "do-it-yourselfer".  We plan to also have these items available at some of the local holiday craft shows.  We also have a variety of tree stands and disposal bags for sale.

Hidden Pines is owned and operated by Alan & Tami Binger and their three sons, Alex (21), Ethan (19) and Garrett (17).  The boys will be assisting with the cutting this fall when their busy ice hockey schedules permit it.

Why the name "Hidden Pines"?  Our tree farm is located within the city limits of historic Clyde, Ohio, but hardly anyone knows it.  We are located across the street from Clyde High School at 675 Limerick Road, but sit back behind several houses a couple hundred feet from the road.  It's really the best of both worlds.....a rural peacefull setting with the conveniences of a small progressive city.

Start or continue a family tradition with us this winter by cutting your own Christmas tree!

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR 2009 CUSTOMERS......please send pictures of your decorated trees to add to our website!

Here is our 2009 Christmas tree.....an 8 1/2 foot Scotch Pine.  This was actually an 11 footer that we shortened a bit.  It turned out beautifully!  Please share a photo of your tree and we'll it put it on our website.
This beautiful Blue Spruce was featured on the front page of the Sandusky Register.  It was in the home of Megan and Todd Peugeot whose extraordinary home was part of the 2009 Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes sponsored by the Old House Guild of Sandusky. The Blue Spruces were particulary nice this year.  (Photo Courtesy of the Sandusky Register)
Our 2008 9 foot Douglas Fir.  It was a beautiful tree that kept drinking all the way through Christmas and dropped very few needles!
Mom and Dad Binger's 7 foot Canaan Fir.  It was their first live tree in several years and enjoyed by everyone when they hosted on Christmas Day!
Here's the 2008 14 foot Scotch Pine at the Tim and Jackie Hoppe home.  This is the biggest tree we have sold so far!
Here is the our 2007 Christmas Tree.  It's a 7 1/2 foot Canaan Fir. Merry Christmas from the Binger family.
Here's the 7 foot Canaan Fir at the McAfee home.  Thanks Chris, Vicki, Josh and Jake for sharing a picture with us!
Here are a couple shots of our trees after the December 5, 2007 snow.  Everything was looking beautiful this morning and really putting us in the Christmas spirit!
